Costa Rica, Playa Grande

This little town is located in the North West along the Pacific Coast, close to the large beach town of Tamarindo. Here in Playa Grande you'll not only find peace and quite away from the city but you'll find some of the most consistance surf around, and if you head there in late november on until the rainy season middle summer your going to see some amazing waves. Here you'll find rights and lefts. Best time to go would be during high tide coming in or going out, or just high tide in general, although you can have fun out there during a low tide. These tides are extreme. Hope this Helps! "Pura Vida" (pure life)

Playa Negra Reef Break

Playa Negra is in the Northern Part of Costa Rica about an hour south of well known Tamarido. It's not a very well known Surf Spot. I Had to rent a 4 wheel drive Jeep. (Cost about 50$ a day) and drive down there. There was mud and the road was pretty destroyed in some places, but there are signs that tell you where to go. It's worth it though! Wonderous Rights that break because of a reef down below. I was there on a calm day and it was 5 ft, no berrels persay but lost of wave face to work. I've heard that if the right swell comes in it pitches into perfect spitting berrels but watch out for the reef!
